B540federal was founded in 2024, with mentorship and guidance from Stella Mercado, formerly of Mercom Corporation. Ms. Mercado is currently serving on our Board of Advisors, to build on the success of bFIVE40’s innovation-driven manufacturing platform and secure a unique competitive advantage in the federal sector by adding innovative information technology applications for mission critical programs.

Donna Brin
CEO & FOUNDER
Awarded South Carolina Emerging Manufacturer of the Year in 2022, Donna Brin is Founder & CEO of B540federal, a bFIVE40 company, specialized in advanced manufacturing of technical textiles made with recycled fibers and owner of sports apparel brand, BFIT540. A native New Yorker with Wall Street roots, Donna grew bFIVE40 from a one-product company into a fully-integrated prototyping and production facility with innovative technologies, including sublimation printing and 3D knitting. In 2020, she appeared on Fox & Friends with Mike Rowe on a segment called, "Bringing Jobs Back to America", after raising over $250,000 for his foundation, mikeroweWORKS. Donna earned an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business and BA from Manhattanville Colleges.

Dan Brin
COO
Dan Brin brings over 10 years of experience in the information technology sector with expertise running commercial programs for AT&T, Verizon, and Fujitsu. As the Chief Operations Officer at B540federal, he spearheads the company’s operational strategies, ensuring seamless execution of projects and driving continuous improvement across all departments. Dan is instrumental in optimizing workflows, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of innovation within the organization. Prior to joining bFIVE40, Dan held key leadership positions at ZGlobal, Barclays Bank and Mirant, where he successfully led large-scale projects and implemented strategic initiatives that significantly improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelors in Business Management and is known for his exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving organizational goals.
